NWSA Symphony Orchestra Concert · MDC Wolfson Campus
Downtown Miami- The New World School of the Arts Symphony performs at the Chapman Conference Center.
- Free and open to the public — this is one of those Miami things that is easy to miss and hard to forget once you go.
- The 4th annual arts conversation at 285 Aragon Avenue.
- Starts at 12:30 PM — a good midday cultural anchor if you are working nearby.
- Running Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays all October.
- Hands-on, intimate, and the kind of thing you will actually talk about afterward.
He Is Legend · Churchill's Pub
Little Haiti- The North Carolina rock band plays Churchill's — one of Miami's oldest and most storied live music venues.
- A good Tuesday night option for anyone who wants something loud and unpretentious.
The Fabric of Remembering: Cyanotype & Quilting Workshop · Oolite Arts
Miami Beach- A four-week workshop beginning tonight at Oolite Arts on Lincoln Road.
- Cyanotype printing and quilting — hands-on, community-oriented, and the kind of thing Miami's arts infrastructure does quietly well.
Wednesday, October 7
Min Jin Lee in Conversation with Katie Phang · MDC Wolfson Campus
Downtown Miami- The author of Pachinko discusses her new novel American Hagwon with MSNBC anchor Katie Phang.
- Books & Books presents this at the Wolfson Campus Auditorium. 7 PM.
- One of the better literary events of the fall.
Infinity Song — World Tour II · Revolution Live, Fort Lauderdale
Fort Lauderdale- The R&B sibling group brings their World Tour II to Revolution Live. 7 PM.
- If you have not caught them live, this is the moment.
Boots & Blooms: A Country Night · Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden
Coral Gables- Country music in one of the most beautiful outdoor settings in South Florida. 6 PM at 10901 Old Cutler Road.

Walgreens Windows: Beatriz Monteavaro & Jillian Mayer — Opening Reception · Oolite Arts
Miami Beach- A walking tour and opening reception for a new public art installation in the Walgreens windows along Lincoln Road.
- Free, outdoors, and one of the more interesting formats in Miami's public art programming.
Thursday, October 8
Victoria Monét — Frequency of Love Tour · Kaseya Center
Downtown Miami- The Grammy-winning singer brings her Frequency of Love Tour to Kaseya.
- This is a proper arena show from an artist at the peak of her moment.
- Do not sleep on it.
Vizcaya Village Night Market: Harvest & Hispanic Heritage Celebration
Brickell / Coconut Grove- Vizcaya Village opens its grounds for a night market with food, guided tours, and a zine-making workshop on food futures. 5 PM at 3250 S.
- Miami Avenue.
- One of the more distinctive evenings on the calendar this week.
NBA Preseason: Miami HEAT vs. New Orleans Pelicans · Kaseya Center
Downtown Miami- The HEAT host the Pelicans in a preseason matchup.
- Tip-off at 7:30 PM.
- A good excuse to get into the building before the regular season.
Comedy at The Hub: Danny Jolles · Pinecrest
Pinecrest- Stand-up at Temple Beth Am's Hub venue. 7 PM.
- Danny Jolles is sharp, the room is intimate, and Pinecrest rarely gets enough credit for its cultural programming.
Eric Silberger: Vivaldi's The Four Seasons · Sanctuary of the Arts
Miami- A chamber performance of one of the most recognizable pieces in classical music, in a venue that makes it feel genuinely sacred.
- Worth the detour.
Candlelight: The Best of Frank Sinatra & Nat King Cole · Ball & Chain
Little Havana- The Candlelight series brings its candlelit concert format to Ball & Chain on Calle Ocho.
- Sinatra and Nat King Cole in Little Havana is a combination that makes complete sense.
- Country music at Hard Rock Live. 8 PM.
- Currington is a reliable live performer and the Hard Rock room is one of the better mid-size venues in South Florida.
Art Talk: John Baldessari — The End of the Line · PAMM
Biscayne Corridor- The Pérez Art Museum hosts a talk on Baldessari's work at 6:30 PM.
- If you have been meaning to get to PAMM this fall, this is a good anchor for the evening.
Dan Dailey Glass Artist Lecture · Lowe Art Museum, University of Miami
Coral Gables- The Myrna and Sheldon Palley Glass Artist Lecture series continues with Dan Dailey at the Lowe. 6:30 PM at 1301 Stanford Drive — a specialized program that consistently draws serious collectors and practitioners.
Artist Talk: Bethany Collins · Locust Projects
Upper East Side / Little Haiti- Locust Projects hosts a talk with Bethany Collins at 7 PM.
- Collins works with language, history, and race — her practice is rigorous and the Locust Projects space at 297 NE 67th Street is one of the best artist-run venues in the city.
Friday, October 9
- The Colombian pop star brings his tour to Kaseya.
- One of the bigger Latin pop draws of the fall season.
Black Country, New Road · Miami Beach Bandshell
Miami Beach- The British post-rock group plays the Bandshell — one of the better outdoor venues in South Florida for this kind of show.
- Experimental, orchestral, and genuinely unlike anything else on the calendar this week.
- The Belgian street artist turned musician performs at the Fillmore.
- Worth knowing about if you follow the crossover between visual art and live music.
Lil' Kim HARD CORE: Listening Session · Floyd Miami
Downtown Miami- A listening session for the 30th anniversary of HARD CORE at Floyd.
- Intimate, historically significant, and the kind of event that sells out quietly.
Alesso · LIV Nightclub
Miami Beach- The Swedish DJ plays LIV.
- If you are going out Friday night, this is the anchor.
Choralcopia 2026 · UM Gusman Concert Hall
Coral Gables- University of Miami's choral showcase at Gusman.
- Free and open to the public — a good Friday evening option if you want something quieter than a club.
Chippy Nonstop & Pressure Point · Jolene Sound Room
Miami- Jolene is one of the better small rooms in the city for this kind of electronic booking.
- Chippy Nonstop is worth the trip.
- The Deering Estate's October ghost tours begin this weekend and run through October 31.
- The estate at night is genuinely atmospheric — this is not a haunted house, it is a guided historic tour of one of Miami's oldest properties after dark.
All Week
- Running October 6–9 at the Convention Center.
- A multi-day gathering at the intersection of entertainment, media, and sports business.
- Ronald Wayne — Apple co-founder — is among the speakers.
- Tuesday through Friday, 5–7 PM, all October.
- One of the more consistent happy hour programs on the Beach right now.
Salsa & Sip Season 2 · Hoy Como Ayer
Little Havana- The Thursday edition of the Calle Ocho club's second season runs October 8.
- Live music, proper cocktails, a dance floor that does not forgive hesitation.
