Miami Spice 2013 opened its annual two-month run in August, offering three-course prix-fixe menus at hundreds of the city's top restaurants for lunch and dinner prices that made fine dining genuinely accessible. The program, now a beloved institution on the South Florida culinary calendar, has always been about more than discounts — it's an invitation to explore the city's extraordinary restaurant scene without the usual barrier of cost.
From Brickell to South Beach, Coral Gables to Wynwood, Miami Spice 2013 gave diners a reason to try the restaurants they'd been meaning to visit and to return to the ones they already loved. For the city's chefs, it was an opportunity to introduce their cooking to new audiences — and to remind everyone why Miami's culinary scene deserves its growing international reputation.
