Mariachi El Bronx at Revolution Live — Sunday, October 4

Born out of their passion for traditional Mexican music, Mariachi El Bronx is the brass-centric alter ego of Los Angeles punk band The Bronx. The genre-crossing group debuted with their self-titled album, and while a punk ethos remains at the core of their sound, albums like II, III, and 2026's IV have found them respectfully embracing core Latin American styles like cumbia, norteño, and bolero.

Conceived in 2006 when The Bronx were asked to play an acoustic set, leader Matt Caughthan took the music in a whole new direction — moving away from hardcore and exploring the brass-centric Mexican mariachi sound. In 2026, Mariachi El Bronx delivered IV, a more traditional-sounding, if no less exuberant production, anchored by the single "Forgive or Forget."
