Roma Cohen, co-founder of lifestyle concept store and brand Alchemist, and Sky Gellatly, co-founder of artist management and creative agency ICNCLST/, have joined forces to launch “Alchemist Art Cafe”—a one-week, art-themed café in Miami’s Design District. Located at 172 NE 40th Street, the Alchemist Art Café will be open from 11AM to 8PM, December 2nd – December 8th 2019—and will feature both premium café beverages, and apparel, collectibles, and editions from a variety of artists. Sitting adjacent to the café is the exciting, art-retail concept experience, “Hello Miami”, helmed by Sarah Andelman—former co-founder of Parisian boutique Colette, and current creative leader of consulting studio Just An Idea.

The café’s illustrative branding was designed by Futura Laboratories—the commercial design studio and co-creation brand platform of artist Futura. Modernica—the mid-century inspired home furnishings manufacturer—collaborated with the café on an exclusive range of its highly-collectible Side Shell Eiffel Chairs. The café’s coffee offering—and master barista—is provided exclusively by La Colombe Coffee Roasters; Alchemist Art Café will feature a premium range of espresso and cold brew beverages from La Colombe.

The Café will feature a dynamic array of artist merchandise, collectibles, and editions. A 7-piece capsule of “café staff merchandise” featuring Futura Laboratories’ designs, produced entirely by new artist-first company Drywall Studios, will be available during the café’s entire duration. Also included within the café’s retail program will be the Keith Haring Foundation’s recent capsule collection with Diamond Supply Co., a range of Nana-Nana x Akira Art of Wall PVC Bags and phone cases, prints from artist André Saraiva, an exclusive release of a 5-deck skateboard set from Futura Lanboratories, and a variety of other exclusive items from Alchemist’s brand.

Alchemist Art Café will open on December 2nd, and will have it’s welcome launch event on the eve of Wednesday December 3rd at 5PM. Artist Futura will also be doing a book signing of his “Full Frame” artist monograph book the weekend of December 7th and 8th—time soon to be announced.
