Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum Store to Participate In Museum Store Sunday

The Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum will participate in “Museum Store Sunday” on December 1.

The Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum store will be among more than 1,200 museum stores representing all 50 states, 18 countries and four continents to offer quality gifts filled with inspiration and educational value.

“We are delighted to participate in ‘Museum Store Sunday’ and offer a unique shopping experience,” said Rebecca Petrie, Retail Manager for the Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum. “There will be a holiday craft bazaar and promotions including discounts; children’s activities such as Meet Mrs. Claus; and a scavenger hunt. We’ll also have hot chocolate and cookies as well as gift raffles.

“This year, we are excited to showcase our broad assortment of unique, Seminole-related gifts and invite everyone to ‘Be a Patron.’ Every purchase from our museum store directly supports the educational mission of the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum.”

This will be the third year the Museum Store Association, based in Washington, D.C., has staged “Museum Store Sunday.” It’s designed to showcase how museum stores perform integral and multi-faceted work for their institutions — from earning income and extending mission-related programs, to visitor engagement and educational outreach through store products, programs, and experiences.

“Consumers around the world can shop and give gifts with purpose from their local museum stores on ‘Museum Store Sunday’,” said Susan Tudor, President of the Museum Store Association Board of Directors. “Proceeds from these purchases help sustain the museum’s service to the public. ‘Museum Store Sunday’ highlights the opportunity for the public to support their local businesses, give back to their community through patronage of their local nonprofit museums, find unique holiday gifts, and enjoy an entertaining and educational shopping experience at their favorite museums with family and friends, all at the same time.”
