Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office to Host Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Florida

The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office will host its Law Enforcement Torch Run in support of Special Olympics Florida, bringing together deputies, professional staff, and Special Olympics athletes in a show of support for inclusion and opportunity.

The Law Enforcement Torch Run is the largest grassroots fundraising and awareness program for Special Olympics worldwide. The event symbolizes honor, unity, and community service, as law enforcement officers carry the Flame of Hope to raise awareness and support for athletes with intellectual disabilities.

Through this event, the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office continues its commitment to strengthening relationships with the community while helping empower Special Olympics athletes to achieve their goals, build confidence, and inspire others.
