Polls are now open in Florida City for the Biennial and Special Elections

The Miami-Dade County Office of the Supervisor of Elections announces that polls are now open for the Florida City Biennial and Special Elections taking place today, Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

Polls are open today from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Voters must vote at their assigned precinct, as listed on their voter information card.

Voters in Florida City are voting to elect their Mayor and two City Commission seats. These local offices play a vital role in shaping policy decisions that directly impact residents, including public safety, neighborhood services, infrastructure, and the overall direction of the community.

“Election Day is the cornerstone of our democratic process, especially at the local level where the decisions made most directly affect people’s everyday lives,” said Alina Garcia, Miami-Dade County Supervisor of Elections. “Municipal elections give residents a direct voice in choosing the leaders who shape their community’s future. I encourage all eligible voters in Florida City to take advantage of this opportunity and participate in today’s election.”

Voters who requested a Vote-by-Mail ballot are reminded that ballots must be returned by 7:00 p.m. tonight to the office of the Supervisor of Elections located at 2700 NW 87th Avenue, Miami, FL 33172 to be counted.

Voters can find their assigned polling location, view their sample ballot, and access Election Day information by visiting votemiamidade.gov or by calling 305 499 VOTE (8683).
