Miami-born artist Woody De Othello debuts his latest immersive installation, coming forth by day, at PAMM from November 13th, 2025, to June 28th, 2026. Featuring ceramic and wood sculptures, tiled wall works, and a significant new bronze piece, the exhibition explores the deep-rooted connections between body, earth, and spirit.
Drawing inspiration from precolonial and African diasporic traditions, Othello incorporates grounding materials like clay and subtle herbal scents, referencing nkisi power figures, Dogon ritual forms, and Egyptian pyramids. His anthropomorphic sculptures, with lush glazes and tactile hand-building, animate everyday objects—clocks, mirrors, vessels—blurring the line between body and object and revealing the unseen forces shaping daily life.
