Miami Dade Shines in O, Miami’s Latest Book: Literally Everyone’s Invited

Literally Everyone Is Invited: An Ode to South Florida celebrates the 10th anniversary of the ZipOde—a playful, place-based poetic form created in 2015 by O, Miami in partnership with WLRN. Edited by Gesi Schilling and Sarah Trudgeon and published by O, Miami, this vibrant collection features poems and photographs by over 450 South Floridians. Literally Everyone Is Invited is part art book, part poetic love letter to South Florida, told by the people who live it.

O, Miami is a literary nonprofit that builds community around the power of poetry through year-round programming, including publishing and education programs and their signature O, Miami Poetry Festival each April.

The book includes an introduction poem by Miami poet Arsimmer McCoy and features essays by:

  • Sarah Trudgeon, co-editor of the book and longtime ZipOde curator
  • Gesi Schilling, co-editor of the book and a South Florida-born photographer
  • Melody Santiago Cummings and Caroline Cabrera, Executive Director and Artistic Director of O, Miami, respectively
  • Alicia Zuckerman, Former Editorial Director at WLRN
