Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) and Netflix have announced that MMA legend Anderson “The Spider” Silva will return to combat sports for a boxing match against former MMA champion Chris “The All-American” Weidman. The 6-round bout at 205 lbs will open the main card of the highly anticipated Jake Paul vs. Gervonta “Tank” Davis event in Miami.
Silva, widely regarded as the greatest MMA fighter of all time, is making his boxing debut after a legendary UFC career and successful transition to boxing since 2021. Weidman, known for ending Silva’s UFC reign and his resilience in MMA, is stepping into the boxing ring for the first time after a decorated MMA career.
The event also features major bouts including undisputed super featherweight champion Alycia Baumgardner defending her titles, and a women’s undisputed strawweight clash between Cherneka Johnson and Amanda Galle. The card highlights the biggest stars of boxing and MMA, with tickets on sale now and exclusive VIP packages available.
