MOCA’s Miami Art Week VIP Reception

We are thrilled to extend a special invitation to you for MOCA’s Miami Art Week VIP Reception celebrating our fall exhibitions, Andrea Chung: Between Too Late and Too Early, which features works across multiple mediums investigating the colonial as it relates to motherhood, Blackness, the impact of trauma and the imagination, Smita Sen: Embodied, which explore and feature the artist’s use of her dance-based performances and how she developed sculptures and drawing based on her movements in her early and most recent works, and Nicole Salcedo: Earth Gateas part of MOCA’s Art on The Plaza series, the installation features an anthropomorphic gate, intricately carved to represent a face, which is the artist’s interpretation of the spirit of nature.

Guests can explore the exhibitions while listening to live music by DJ Tara, refreshments by Justin Wines and Tripping Animals Brewery, and hors d’oeuvres by Jamaica Kitchen.

Stay late and experience a special performance at 8:30 PM by exhibiting artist Smita Sen, accompanied by violinist Trina Basu, followed by live music by StampedTheParty’s own DJ Aya.

Time: 6:30 – 8:30 PM (open to general public 8:30-10:30 PM)
