Friday, October 27 and Saturday, October 28 at 8:00 PM, the Koubek Center presents Kanay-Apuntes Americanos, a new multidisciplinary and multimedia work by Peruvian artist Roxana Barba.
Combining elements of theater, music, dance, and video, Kanay–Apuntes Americanos investigates fictions regarding the inhabitants of Peru and their culture from various angles.
In addition, Kislak Center Curator Dr. Carol Damian, will kick off Friday evening’s performance with a brief introduction, relating back to some of the pre-Hispanic artifacts found in the Jay I. Kislak Collection of the Early Americas, Exploration, and Navigation.
