Prepare to be transported to the enchanting world of Morocco as the 14th Annual Ghost Light Society Soirée presents “Moonlight in Morocco” on Saturday, November 4. Hosted at the prestigious venue, The Parker, this immersive event promises an unforgettable evening of sights, sounds, and cuisine that will captivate guests.

Organized by the Ghost Light Society, the soirée serves as a fundraising event, with all proceeds going to support the Broward Center for the Performing Arts’ renowned arts-in-education program. As the largest free program of its kind in the nation, this initiative annually serves over 100,000 students and has positively impacted the lives of 3.5 million Broward County students to date.

Guests will have the opportunity to indulge in exquisite Moroccan cuisine, meticulously curated to evoke the rich and vibrant flavors of the North African country. Expert chefs will tantalize taste buds with an array of delicacies, from aromatic couscous dishes to savory tajines and delectable pastries.

The main highlight of the soirée will be a live, intimate performance by the remarkable musician, producer, and songwriter Michael Glabicki. Known for his multifaceted talents, Glabicki is best recognized as the lead singer of the multi-platinum band, Rusted Root. Alongside guitarist Dirk Miller, Glabicki promises to captivate guests with his soulful melodies and infectious rhythms.

Throughout the night, attendees will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in Moroccan culture, with stunning decorations transforming The Parker into a magical oasis. Intricately designed lamps, vibrant textiles, and ornate patterns will transport guests to the bustling markets and breathtaking landscapes of Morocco.

Dining and dancing will take center stage, as attendees are invited to sway to the infectious beats of traditional Moroccan music. Whether you’re an experienced dancer or simply looking to let loose on the dance floor, the soirée promises a night filled with energy and celebration.

“We are thrilled to present ‘Moonlight in Morocco’ as this year’s theme for the Ghost Light Society Soirée,” said Sarah Stein, President of the Ghost Light Society. “Not only will guests have an incredible evening, but they will also have the satisfaction of knowing that their attendance supports arts-in-education programs that make a significant impact on our community’s youth.”
