BETTER ANGELS KEY WEST SONGWRITERS FESTIVAL

The Better Angels Key West Songwriters Festival will make paradise even sweeter during the event’s 15th annual installment in its island namesake. Benefiting the Muzak Heart & Soul Foundation, the festival will feature more than 100 top-tier songwriters performing most-loved hits. Anchor-sponsor BMI will continue its widespread support of the fest, leading Key West’s annual transformation into a music mecca.

 Full band concerts will bookend the 2010 festival, as Universal South recording artist Randy Houser kicks things off with a free concert at the Ocean Key Pier on Wednesday, April 28, 6-8 p.m. The Raul Malo Band performs at the Ocean Key Pier Saturday, May 1; tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door, advance tickets go on sale February 18 at www.keystix.com.

The days between will showcase songwriters on Beaches, Boats and in many of Key West’s famous venues including the festival favorite Theatre Shows. The San Carlos Institute and The Tropic Cinema will once again host more intimate writers rounds Thursday April 29th,Friday April 30th and a new Saturday May 1st Matinee. As the day meets the night Fury Water Adventures will fulfill your need for tropical breezes, great music and breath taking sunsets on the waters of Key West with THREE Sunset Sail Shows. Space is limited; Tickets will be available thru www.furykeywest.com February 18th as well.
