“Good Times” exhibit by artist Chris Friday at Oolite Arts
Want to be more cultured and get to know the talented local artists who are helping to enrich our city? One way to start is by checking out “Good Times,” a new solo exhibit at Oolite Arts by the multi-disciplinary, talented local artist Chris Friday. In “Good Times,” a reference to the popular ‘70s sitcom, Friday showcases large-scale drawings of black bodies at leisure – playing, dancing, resting. However, what visitors will notice when they view “Good Times” is that the figures in Friday’s impressive drawings are turned inward – slightly away from the viewers, keeping parts of themselves hidden.
“Good Times” is on display, daily from 12-5 p.m. through April 2, 2023. 924 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach, FL 33139. Free admission.
