The New World School of the Arts college musical theatre students take to the stage with the record-setting Tony award-nominated Broadway musical, Company, written by George Furth and Stephen Sondheim. Under the direction of NWSA theatre professor James Randolph, Jr., the musical highlights the artistic talent of the acting and musical theatre students in the New World School of the Arts college theatre BFA program. “This musical changed the face of American Musical Theatre – since its’ first performance, the influence and impacts of the work are still seen today,” said Randolph. Opening in 1970, Company premiered at a time where the social constructs of America were at a crossroads and musical theatre was beginning to transition from the great classic Golden Age musical with a large cast to a smaller production and more unique structures.
