The Cuban born Leslie Cartaya is known for her musical fusion of Afro-Cuban, Jazz, Caribbean, America Funk, and Latin American sounds. She has been nominated for both Grammy and Latin Grammy awards as well as the Sun Coast Emmy for being part of the soundtrack for the documentary Miami Boheme.
