Celebrated rock stars YES come to Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Friday, August 1, 2014 at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 2 at 10 a.m.
Founded in 1968 by Chris Squire and Jon Anderson, Grammy-award winning recording artists YES have created some of the most important and influential music in rock history. Iconic songs includeRoundabout, Close to the Edge, I’ve Seen All Good People, Owner of a Lonely Heart, and countless others. Having sold over 50 million records over its forty-six-year career YES continues creating masterful music that inspires fans and musicians from around the world.
In 2013, YES marked a career first with a triple-header concert where the band performed three of their classic albums live in their entirety. In 2014, the tour is taken to another level as the band is set to perform 1971’s groundbreaking album Fragile as well as 1972’s Close to the Edge. The show will close with an encore of the band’s greatest hits and feature new material off Heaven and Earth, the bands new studio album, out July 8.
Fragile was the bands breakthrough album peaking at #4 on the Billboard Album charts in the U.S. The RIAA-certified double platinum album has sold over two million copies and features YES’ hit singleRoundabout and classics Long Distance Runaround and Heart of the Sunrise.
Close to the Edge is widely regarded as one of the greatest progressive rock albums ever recorded— spending 32 weeks on the U.S. charts, and peaking at #3. The Gold-certified album features hits Close to the Edge and You And I. In 2006, Guitar World named Close to the Edge one of the “100 Greatest Guitar Albums of All Time”.
