Continuing on the heels of its success this past year, the InterContinental® Miami will premiere their Digital Arts Program with DIGITAL MIAMI, a month-long exhibit curated by David Siqueiros; in the hotel’s Interactive Arts Lounge, centered around the historic 18-ft, 70-ton Spindle sculpture by sculptor Henry Moore.
“The Digital Arts Program is set to become an integral component of Miami’s Creative Industries, fostering and promoting the artistic and cultural assets of the community. We believe the evolution of technology is not meant to isolate, but rather to enhance creativity, innovation, collaboration and social interaction; and the InterContinental® Miami is located in that epicenter of Miami’s arts and cultural district, says Robert Hill, General Manager of InterContinental® Miami.” The Digital Arts Program is going to change the way guests and art patrons experience art. In contrast to traditional museums, our art programs will be on view 24/7 on the hotel’s digital art walls interspersed like flecks of perfectly appointed paint between other equally vibrant visuals and new media.
The dynamic exhibit opens on Wednesday, December 4, during Art Basel, and runs through the end of December. DIGITAL MIAMI, curated by artist David Siqueiros, is comprised of a group of cutting edge artists that push the boundaries of traditional art.
