2010 LILITH TOUR CANCELLATIONS

The 2010 Lilith Tour <http://www.lilithfair.com/>  is announcing the cancellation of 10 upcoming shows.  This includes the August10th concert at West Palm’s Cruzan Amphitheatre and August 11th at Tampa’s 1-800-ASK_GARY Amphitheatre. Additionally cancelled were: Salt Lake City (7/12), Montreal (7/23), Raleigh (8/4), Charlotte (8/6), Birmingham (8/12), Austin (8/14), Houston (8/15) and Dallas (8/16). Refunds are available at point of purchase.

“We are in the midst of one of the most challenging summer concert seasons with many tours being cancelled outright,” says Lilith co-founder Terry McBride.  “Everyone involved with the tour would like to apologize to the fans and artists scheduled to play in these markets, and express appreciation for all the support for the festival’s return. Lilith remains the only tour of its kind, and we are confident that fans will be amazed by what each date has to offer.”

In light of these cancellations, some artists who were set to appear later in the tour may be performing in other cities.  Please check LilithFair.com <http://www.lilithfair.com/>  for the most up to date information for each city.

Lilith 2010, the only touring festival featuring an all-female line-up, returned after an 11-year hiatus this past Sunday, June 27 in Calgary with over 9,000 fans in attendance and a line-up that included Sugarland, Erykah Badu, Sheryl Crow, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, Colbie Caillat and Sarah McLachlan. Check out the video footage of the festivities from Calgary (HERE <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKi9T_IP3Bo> ) and Edmonton (HERE <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KhIwoVbEVmg> ).

As with the original Lilith Fair, Lilith 2010 offers fans a celebratory and engaging atmosphere that creates a sense of community among attendees and artists. Upon entering the festival, fans are greeted by the Lilith Village, where they can explore the various charitable and social organizations with which Lilith is aligned, including the  i4c Campaign <http://i4ccampaign.com/>  and the local charity winner. They’ll also have the opportunity to take advantage of the fantastic perks offered by the Lilith sponsors, like Crystal Light’s “Refreshing Oasis” with cooling mist, massage chairs and free samples of Crystal Light Pure Fitness, the “Lilipad Lounge,” from the makers of STAYFREE®, CAREFREE® and o.b.®, offering a refreshing towelette bar and plenty of freebies, or Nalgene’s commemorative Lilith water bottles that fans can purchase and refill throughout the day at provided hydration stations.

The musical festivities begin shortly after doors open (approx 2:00 pm daily) with a performance by the OurStage.com local talent winner, followed by eight hours and three stages of continuous female-fronted live music from up-and-coming artists and established acts across multiple genres, all tied together by one main theme: the celebration of women in music.
