17th Annual Band of Brothers Golf Event

Sunday, May 15th at 1pm, FUMC’s Band of Brothers will hit the links for their 17th Annual Band of Brothers Charity Golf Event at The Coral Springs Country Club, 10800 West Sample Road.

According to Tournament Director, Wes Hitchcock, “Our Mission is to use funds from the event to assist charitable and church mission projects in the community and abroad. We look forward to this event making a difference for those in need during 2011.”
In previous years, the Event has funded mission trips, such as the youth’s 2010 trip to Mississippi to help rebuild homes for disaster victims, a mission trip to Guatemala to assist flood victims, the First Church Bethlehem Revisited outreach project, and provided funding for “Walk His Way”, the young adult mission of First Church, among other charitable endeavors.

This year, all funds raised will go directly to helping people in need to support new First Church missions such as the cooperative feeding program that feeds approximately 100 families in Broward County every two weeks.

It’s a bargain at only $80/per person or $300 for a foursome.  This includes golf fees, cart, dinner, and prizes.  Pre-registration is required to play.  The event takes place on Sunday, May 15th, with a 1pm shotgun start and scramble format.  Prizes will be awarded for 1st – 3rd place, closest to pin, longest drive, and straightest drive.  An awards banquet and buffet will be held afterward at 6pm.

Sponsorships are available on several levels beginning at $90 for Silver, $250 for Gold, and $500 for Platinum Level.

You can help make a difference in the community by signing up today to play, volunteer, or be a sponsor by contacting Wes Hitchcock at wesley.r.hitchcock@gmail.com (Phone #:  954/234-6395) or Mike Campbell at mcampbell@hfhboca.org.
