Young At Art Museum

Young At Art Museum is where imagination, education and discovery meet in exciting and new ways. YAA believes that art has the power to inspire and teach children of all ages.  At YAA, young artists experience a variety of sounds, textures and sights as they move through many exhibits, Art Institute and teen center.   In 1989, a small museum with a big idea – that art is central to shaping young minds and enriching the community – opened to overwhelming support by South Florida families. In the years since their opening, Young At Art Museum has become a leader in its field. They have been designated as a Broward County Major Cultural Institution, awarded prestigious grants from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, Association of Children’s Museums and National Endowment for the Arts, and in 2011, received accreditation by the American Alliance of Museums, making YAA one of only 781 of the nation’s 17,500 museums recognized for excellence and leadership in the museum field.
