The Heavyweight Factory will present “World Heavyweight Champs – Saturday Night Fight” at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Saturday, Sept. 5, at 6 p.m. The “Heavyweights Collide!”-themed event will feature more than 10 World Heavyweight Champions, including two-time World Heavyweight Champion Shannon “The Cannon” Briggs.
Briggs, a 2006 World Boxing Organization Heavyweight World Champion, 2014 North American Boxing Association (NABA) title winner and current world-record-holder for 38 first-round knockouts, will enter the ring to further his quest to defeat a third World Heavyweight Champion; Briggs previously defeated World Heavyweight Champions George Foreman and Siarhei Liakhovich, in 1997 and 2006, respectively. Briggs also defeated World Heavyweight Champion Ray Mercer in 2005, however, Mercer was not a World Heavyweight Champion at that time.
Other World Heavyweight Champions to be featured include Wladimir Klitschko, Evander Holyfield, Riddick Bowe, Michael Moorer, Ray Mercer, Tony Tucker, Michael Bentt, Pinklon Thomas, Leon Spinks and Michael Spinks. Lineup is subject to change.
