The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is teaming up with Cirque Dreams Illumination and WSVN-FOX Channel 7 to find the next big dance sensation. Strut your stuff in the “We Know He Can Dance, Can You?” contest and you could win a chance to perform your choreography in a once-in-a-lifetime routine on-stage with the Cirque Dreams Illumination cast March 10-14 at Hard Rock Live.
To enter, contestants must fill-out an application at www.wsvn.com by clicking on the contest tab and following the instructions on how to submit their video audition featuring his/her original choreography and dance skill. Deadline for video submissions is February 28. Potential contestants may visit www.cirqueproductions.com to view Cirque Dreams Illumination’s promotional video for additional ideas and inspiration. All routines must be original creations that have not been entered into previous contests, received any awards or have been previously published in any medium or otherwise used.
From the video submissions, the Cirque Dreams artistic team will determine a group of semi-finalists to be posted on WSVN.com. Beginning March 1, viewers will vote online to choose the finalists who will then perform live before a panel of judges on March 8 at the Center Fountain in Seminole Paradise at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. The winner of the final competition will be chosen on the basis of the originality and excellence of his/her act, will perform with Cirque Dreams Illumination during one performance at Hard Rock Live and will receive six complimentary tickets for the show.
The finals will be judged, in part, by Robert Muraine, a Cirque cast member who rose to national prominence on the hit TV reality show, So You Think You Can Dance. After winning the hearts and appreciation of America, Muraine appeared on The Ellen Show and was tapped for commercials by Ikea, Blackberry, Strike Bowling, Pringles and more. He was subsequently called for the casting of Superstars of Dance on NBC.
