In an interview with Will Arnett here is what he had to say on his role as a co-writer, actor and executive producer of Running Wilde.

On Similarities with Steve Wilde

Daedrian McNaughton: Are there any similarities between Steve Wilde and Will Arnett?

Will Arnett: I don’t know how many real similarities there are. I think that if anything there is a kind of childishness about Steve that I probably have. I am sure there are people who think that I can probably grow up or I don’t take a lot of things that seriously. In that way Steve and I are very similar. I approach each day that I’d like it to be a fun experience as much as I can. Steve has a lot more options at his disposal because he is an insane billionaire, in that way we are alike.

On Multi-tasking

Daedrian McNaughton: In the new series, Running Wilde you are an actor, co-writer and executive producer. Which do you enjoy the most?

Will Arnett: I am new to the other two. I am probably most comfortable being an actor but I am finding it to be mentally interesting. I am playing the roles of a writer and producer which is turning out to be a tremendous amount of work, but it is very gratifying. What you end up doing in a way… you can’t believe it but you are more invested in the project which make you very defensive and protective. You feel like, “Wow, this is my baby,” if you will. I am finding that I am really invested in this.

On Growing Up

Daedrian McNaughton: Will Steve Wilde ever grow up?

Will Arnett: I don’t know if he will ever fully grow up. Maybe he will, he has all the dressings of it; I think he will but I think he will always be a kid at heart.
