Here you will feast as you stroll, partaking of exquisite morsels and imbibing in some of the finest wines and spirits on the planet. Here you will watch and listen as renowned chefs share their culinary secrets and regale the audience with their stories. Here you will understand what it means to transcend the ordinary and embrace the original, the adventurous, and the bold. Let nothing keep you from this rare retreat, this quick escape, this brief but blissful passage to another existence.

Each year the Festival highlights a different country’s wine and culinary contributions. For its 10th anniversary, the Festival is dedicating a pavilion to the “Experience Italy” tent which will  showcase some of Italy’s finest wines as well as a wide range of specialty food products.

As a souvenir of your daylong “vacation,” when you use your American Express card to purchase your ticket, you will take home your own commemorative copy of the Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival Cookbook (Clarkson Potter, Fall 2010) with a foreword by Anthony Bourdain, a lovely reminder of your gastronomic world-tour launched on the shores of Miami Beach. The only place to get the book signed by ALL of your favorite chefs is inside the Whole Foods Market Grand Tasting Village.

Culinary and Lifestyle Seminars (11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
The gods and goddesses of the culinary world will walk and talk and cook among us! The folks who’ve taught us everything from making perfect deviled eggs to turning out a heavenly cheese soufflé (and everything in between) will drop down to give live, in-person lessons. Here’s a chance to catch your favorite Food Network stars, as well as famous cookbook authors and cocktail experts, as they share their tried-and-true tips and amusing stories over a working kitchen. Watch as they prepare favorite dishes and specialty drinks. Stick around to ask a question, enjoy a taste or two of their featured creations, and even get a cookbook signed. Copies to be available for purchase at the Books & Books tent. It’s a lively, interactive good time.
