A Local, Non-Profit Providing Cards and Gifts to Cancer Patients
Local author and transformational life coach, Wendi Blum, is celebrating the launch of her new book entitled “Your Life, Your Destiny – Uncover Yours” (retail: $19.99) with a holiday cocktail party and book signing on Dec. 11th. Guests will enjoy complimentary cocktails, passed hors d’ œuvres and a silent auction benefiting Spirit Jump.
The women’s guide to inspiration, hope and courage is an eloquent collection of affirmations matched to 27 inspiring profiles of women sure to touch reader’s hearts with their individual triumphs and tribulations. In addition, the book includes tools and exercises such as breathing, prayer and meditation to aid in destiny fulfillment.
One chapter is devoted to Meaghan Edelstein, a local, 28-year-old cancer survivor who started a blog called, “I Kicked Cancer’s Ass”, to document her fight against Stage 3B Cervical Cancer. After recovery, Edelstein founded Spirit Jump, a local, non-profit that provides uplifting cards and gifts to men, women and children battling cancer.
Edelstein will serve as the evening’s guest speaker and professional chef, Lenore Nolan Ryan, will provide live cooking demos in Allied Kitchen & Bath’s state-of-the-art showroom. In addition, Blum will be on hand to meet and greet guests and autograph advanced copies of her new book.
