WE tv Presents the Series Premieres of “Girl Meets Gown” on Sunday, April 25 and “Sunset Daze” on Wednesday, April 28

This April, Spring Break takes on an entirely new meaning when WE tv pulls back the curtain on a group of outgoing, party-loving, men and women…who are all over 60 years old! Premiering April 28 at 10 PM et/pt with back-to-back episodes, SUNSET DAZE, takes us to Surprise, AZ where the residents of one of the world’s largest retirement communities, “Sun City,” live lives befitting their town’s name.

When you move grandma or grandpa into their retirement community, you might imagine all the fun they’re going to have knitting, gardening and drinking punch at the Sunday mixer…well, not in Sun City! This is no village for a sleepy “mature adult.” The men and women of SUNSET DAZE haven’t slowed down with age – they’ve sped up! From a lively ex-nun who skydives for fun, to guys who cruise the community in pimped-out golf carts, and a widow ready to break onto the dating scene with the help of her boozy flock of friends; these people are out to truly LIVE the life they have left.

Each episode of SUNSET DAZE, a half-hour 10-part series, explores the day-to-day escapades of nine of Sun City’s residents, who are determined to live life to its fullest. We’ll see daily happy hours, hot tub mischief and wild nights at the singles clubs. Although these men and women are an upbeat and high-spirited crew, they must also confront the challenges of growing older; such as lost loved ones and loneliness as well as achieving their life’s dreams and checking off their bucket lists.  Regardless of the new challenges that aging brings them, nothing can break their spirits and they live each day with passion.  After all, it isn’t how old you are, it’s how old you feel

Anyone, young or old, could learn a lesson or two from the outrageous and lovable SUNSET DAZE crew:

Ron “Big Man on Campus” – (67; Hometown: Columbus, OH) Ron is a mover and shaker determined to make a difference in this community. He has decided to make a name for himself by running for a position on the Board of Directors meeting new residents along the way.

Eileen – (64; Hometown: New York) Eileen has decided to fill her golden years with new challenges and experiences such as competing for the prestigious title of Ms. Senior Arizona.  Will the quest for the crown and the recognition that goes along with it be the one challenge this overachiever can’t conquer?

WE TV’S GIRL MEETS GOWN TAKES BRIDES-TO-BE

ON A WEDDING’S MOST IMPORTANT MISSION – FINDING THE DRESS!

New Series Takes a Drama-filled Look Inside a Texas Bridal Salon,

Premiering April 25 at 10pm ET/PT

When any young woman dreams of her wedding day, one vision surely comes to mind – the dress! Be it a ball gown with a four-foot train fit for a princess, or a simple strapless organza sheath perfect for a seaside ceremony, every woman knows her dress when she lays eyes on it.  WE tv’s GIRL MEETS GOWN premieres Sunday, April 25 at 10pm ET/PT.  The all-new, six-part original series reveals what it truly takes for a bride-to-be to find the perfect gown that will compliment her style and make her shine on the most important day of her life.  This isn’t an easy task but the creative and hard-working team at Stardust Celebrations, the finest bridal boutique in the Lone Star State, is ready to meet the challenge.

Each episode of GIRL MEETS GOWN follows three brides as they bring their wedding visions to life.  The series unveils what happens behind the scenes at one of the nation’s most popular bridal boutiques, Stardust Celebrations in Dallas, Texas.  Marsha Ballard French and Jenifer Cline started Stardust in 1999 as a privately-owned wedding planning business and full service wedding department store.  Since then, it’s grown to become the bridal destination in the South.  To date, they’ve planned hundreds of weddings and dressed over 1,000 brides.

In GIRL MEETS GOWN, Marsha, Jenny and their dedicated staff of stylists aim to please each and every bride who walks through the door – some are on a quest for their dream dress, some are on a mission to please 10 bridesmaids with one dress, and a few have no clue what they want and need a helping hand or critical eye.

Dress Drama! The debut season of GIRL MEETS GOWN features the following stories:

Episode 1 (#01-01): “Lindsay & Lauren, Jessica, Charlotte”

Premieres Sunday, April 25 at 10:00 pm ET/PT

Only a year apart, sisters Lindsay and Lauren share almost everything.  So it only made sense when they both got engaged to pool their dress budgets together to share a gown and get “twice the dress.” But their StarDust Celebrations stylist, Marianne, knows the difficulty in finding one gown that two women could love equally.  In the end, will the oldest come out on top, or will the little sister get her way?

Twenty-two-year-old Jessica is a free-spirited “Texas Gypsy” who’s planning her ceremony in the woods.  Stylist Melissa is in charge of finding a designer gown that is perfectly suited for this earthy bride in less than a month!

Charlotte is a busy attorney who has 10 equally busy bridesmaids.  Since none of her bridesmaids live nearby, she’s on her own to pick out their dresses.  Charlotte recruits her reluctant fiancé to help, alongside the advice of stylist Myra.  But when the ladies finally get to their first gown fitting, it’s just 48 hours before Charlotte’s wedding, leaving no time for any alterations! Will they all fit?

Episode 2 (#01-02): “Mariannella, Kim, Misty”

Premieres Sunday, May 2 at 10:00 pm ET/PT

Mariannella and her opinionated Mom are very close, but have different ideas of what the perfect dress should look like.  When they enter Stardust Celebrations, Mariannella already has a specific dress in mind.  When she discovers that the salon doesn’t carry the gown, Salon Stylist Wendy does everything she can to find her a gown she loves.  Will Wendy pull off a miracle, or will Mariannella settle for a lookalike?

With mother and sister back home in Nebraska, Kim finds wedding dress shopping in Dallas less than thrilling.  So, when she brings her friends to Stardust to help find the perfect gown, Salon Stylist Marianne does everything she can to keep the melancholy bride’s spirits up.  Finally, when that doesn’t work, the Stardust staff decides to give Kim the surprise of her life!

Misty is a 20-something cowgirl engaged to a 40-something cowboy named Dean.  The challenge even greater than their age difference is finding a wedding gown that’s beautiful yet functional enough to survive their open-pasture ranch wedding … next month!  So, against Alterations Manager Kayla’s wishes, Salon Stylist Marianne decides to custom create the perfect Texas gown.  But what happens when Kayla finds out she has to execute Misty’s one-of-a-kind design…in just days!

Episode 3 (#01-03): “Julie, Kelly, Rita”

Premieres Sunday, May 9 at 10:00 pm ET/PT

After standing as a bridesmaid in 29 weddings, Julie is finally getting her time to shine.  The 38-year-old fashionista wants a one-of-a-kind gown, so she brings her mom and maid-of-honor Hilary to Stardust to find the perfect canvas for all of Julie’s custom ideas.  But will Julie’s grandiose requests prove to be too much for the Stardust alterations department to handle?  Or will Alterations Manager Kayla and her team live up to Julie’s unique gown vision?

Then, last year, Kelly’s friends talked her into buying a designer gown that they liked more than she did.  When Kelly realized her feelings weren’t going to change, she was faced with a dress dilemma just eight weeks before her wedding – keep the dress she merely likes, or buy a second dress that she loves? Will the ladies of Stardust help Kelly with her expensive mistake?

Dieting-bride Rita is trying to lose weight after “being in love” helped her pack on the pounds.  When she becomes too body conscious to continue trying on gowns, her mom and stylist Wendy must think quick! Afterward, Rita vows to feel better about her body by the time the gown she ordered comes in.

Episode 4 (#01-04): “Hannah, Laurie, Liesl”

Premieres Sunday, May 16 at 10:00 pm ET/PT

Old Hollywood glamour is all Hannah wants on her wedding day, and she’s looking for a gown to take her to that place.  When Hannah brings her mom and sister along to Stardust Celebrations, they have her try on “princess” dresses that are miles away from her vision.  So, Salon Stylist Melissa goes on the hunt for a gown that makes Hannah feel like a star.

Laurie came into Stardust Celebrations and found the perfect dress.  But when she returned weeks later to order it, she had to divulge news to her stylist Nancy that could jeopardize her chances of getting into her dream gown.

Indecisive Liesl’s been all over Dallas looking for her wedding dress.  When she walks into Stardust, Salon Stylist Marianne vows to end Liesl’s marathon search by really listening to her needs and finding the perfect gown.  Marianne’s expertise is put to the test when Liesl can’t decide and wants to try on endless gowns.

Episode 5 (#01-05): “Jamie-Dale, Candice, Tauri”

Premieres Sunday, May 23 at 10:00 pm ET/PT

Jamie-Dale bought a designer gown from Stardust Celebrations.  Unfortunately, her relationship with her fiancé ended, and she soon discovered there were no refunds from the salon.  So, Jamie-Dale asked her stylist Wendy to find the dress a good home by giving it away to a deserving bride.  Days earlier, Wendy met a deaf bride named Candice who left Stardust empty-handed.  She couldn’t afford any of the gowns because she’s spent her life savings on Cochlear Hearing Implants, so she could hear music at her wedding.  Will Wendy give Candice the chance to be a real-life Cinderella?

Tauri is a spunky bride who ordered a dress in the sample size she tried on at Stardust.  But the gown was uncomfortably tight when it came in, so Tauri vowed to lose weight by her next alterations appointment.

Shelley’s dreamed of being a bride since she was a little girl.  She even had a bridal magazine subscription when she was just 14-years-old! Shelley’s envisioned herself in every style of dress for years and when she comes into Stardust, her stylist Marianne must prevent her from trying on every gown in the store!

Episode 6 (#01-06): “KodiKay, Ashley, Tiffany”

Premieres Sunday, May 30 at 10:00 pm ET/PT

KodiKay wants a simple yet sexy gown that will show off her “ladies,” but her mom and grandmother want to see her in something more traditional. When the threesome finally agree on a dress, KodiKay decides to alter it beyond recognition.

Tiffany is a young mother getting married for the second time and this time around she wants a dress that reflects a more mature sense of style.  When the bride-to-be finds her dream dress, but discovers it’s out of her price range, she has a meltdown that leaves her friends troubled.

Ashley had a horrible experience at another bridal salon.  With just weeks until her wedding day, she comes to Stardust in search of a new gown. Ashley has mere hours to find a dress, so she banishes her over-zealous mother from the appointment until she’s found the one.  When mom is called in to see the gown, Ashley is faced with yet another dilemma.
