Waymo Expands Fully Autonomous Ride-Hailing Service Across Miami, Covering 150 Square Miles

Following the recent reopening of Waymo’s service to all Miami residents, the world’s largest 24/7 autonomous ride-hailing network is growing significantly. The company is adding an extra 50 square miles to its Miami footprint, now covering 150 square miles. Starting today, riders can hail Waymo rides in North Miami, Biscayne Park, Miami Shores, Little River, and Miami Gardens, with expansions extending to Hard Rock Stadium and near Aventura Mall.

This local boost is part of a broader national strategy, with Waymo also expanding in Atlanta, Houston, and Austin over the coming weeks, bringing its total service area to over 1,400 square miles across 11 cities. As Miami prepares to host major international events like the FIFA World Cup, this expansion aims to offer residents and visitors safe, efficient transportation options.

Initially focused on downtown areas, Waymo’s growth now targets neighboring communities, supporting daily errands, community connection, local businesses, and tourism. This drive to improve mobility promises a smarter, more connected Miami for everyone.
