Join us as Voices of the River of Grass creates a meaningful gathering celebrating, remembering, and honoring Indigenous voices and traditions.
The evening features opening and closing ceremonies by Tonalxochitil Comunidad de Danza Azteca y Conchera, a special video interview with renowned traditional Miccosukee artist Leroy Osceola (a descendant of Seminole Chief Osceola), and displays of Miccosukee and Seminole artistry.
The event will also include “Threads of Our Past and Future”, a fashion show spotlighting 4 designs by Indigenous designer Krystle Billie , as well as our annual Silenced Lives Exhibit, which honors Missing and Murdered Indigenous People (MMIP).
