In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, from Sept. 15 through Oct. 15, all Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar guests who purchase the Cuban Pork Roast Feast for Two will receive two complimentary classic desserts of their choice. Guests can choose from three classic dessert options: Arroz con Leche – Cuban rice pudding with candied macadamia nuts, fresh whipped cream, and a vanilla cookie; Cuban Flan – vanilla custard with dulce de leche, fresh whipped cream, and a vanilla cookie; and Tres Leches – vanilla sponge cake soaked in three milks with fresh whipped cream and mocha mousse.
As pig roasts are traditional during many Cuban celebrations, the Cuban Roast Pork Feast for Two at Cuba Libre is a quintessential dish to commemorate Hispanic Heritage Month. The dish consists of citrus-marinated pork shoulder that is slow roasted for 10 hours and then shredded. At service, the pork is crisped in a pan with the reduced cooking juices. The meat is topped with onion-caper mojo, maduros, and crispy pork belly chicharrones and served on a custom-made terra cotta pig grill that is presented tableside to guests. The dish is served with sides of white rice and black beans.
