Tribeca Music Lounge Miami Event Recap: Chance the Rapper, Kamaal Williams, and more

Yesterday at the Tribeca Music Lounge Miami, sponsored by OKX and Audible, Grammy-winning artist Chance the Rapper discussed his forthcoming album Star Line Gallery, as well as redefining the notion of ‘album art’ while celebrating Black visionaries with artists Nikko Washington and Yannis Davy Guibinga. Chance also previewed the upcoming Black Star Line Festival in Ghana: “January 6th is an auspicious date, but we’re reclaiming that date… I’m excited about the concert but what I’m most excited about is the week leading into it. We’re partnering with the University of Ghana, where Malcolm X spoke in ’56, to host a series of lectures and panels… I think we need more opportunities to be in safe spaces to convene in confidence.”

Following the talk, British musician Kamaal Williams performed along with Deem Spencer. Baltra, Blaketheman1000, and The Dare closed the second night of the Tribeca Music Lounge Miami with DJ sets. For more highlights from last night, follow @Tribeca on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
