Buzz-worthy Menu and Drink Offerings Reflect the Significance of Bees to the Food Cycle

TORO Latin Kitchen & Tequila Library, the tantalizing and contemporary culinary destination inside Le Méridien Dania Beach, is participating in a new global brand campaign next month Viva Abejas (Long Live Bees) celebrating Pachamama (Mother Earth), March 22 to April 24, 2022.

“The purpose of this tasty new campaign sponsored by Patrón Tequila is to pay tribute to the significance of bees to the food cycle for which we all depend,” says Chef Richard Sandoval, the culinary visionary behind this chainwide campaign, covering not only food and beverage but signature activations from cultural education to wildflower seed packets that guests can plant to help boost the shrinking honeybee population.

The bee-friendly menu selection includes an appetizer Bee Pollen Rainbow Quinoa(avocado, green pea purée, lemongrass, meyer lemon confit, and organic garden flowers); two entrée options: Farro Coconut Risotto (acacia honey, faro-coconut milk roasted heirloom carrot, mascarpone cheese, roasted veggie jus, and green sprouts) and Charred Crispy Tostada (smashed avocado, bee pollen, and cilantro espuma). For dessert?Avocado Panna Cotta (lavender crumble, blood orange sauce, and honeycomb ice cream).

Special beverage selections will include:

The Queen Bee, made with bourbon, sherry, thyme-honey syrup, and more.

Honey Lavender Margarita, made with Patrón Blanco Tequila.

Honey Lavender Lemonade, combining freshly squeezed lemon juice and lavender-infused honey simple syrup.

Pachamama, made with Ilegal Mezcal Joven, lavender and citrus infused honey, and lemon juice.

Bee-Cante, with Patrón Reposado, home-made ginger and red pepper-infused simple syrup, Yellow Chartreuse, and more.

Mok-Chi, made with honey agave syrup, fresh lemon juice, spiced chamomile, ginger slices, Patrón Reposado, and Drambuie,
