ABOUT FASHION+ART+WALLS 2012: Fashion+Art+Walls is a one year photography/fashion/art project from Art Basel Miami Beach 2011 to Art Basel Miami Beach 2012, culminating in an art show during Art Basel in December 2012, with showings of individual chapters in different venues.
As a photographer with an unorthodox style (and a proprietary sense of and for style in general) Tomas Loewy started photographing designer fashion in front of Miami’s many amazing art walls in the Wynwood Art District, before taking the project worldwide. New York, L.A., Prague, Hong Kong, Tel Aviv and Singapore are in the planning.
In the past several years Miami’s Wynwood Arts District – powered by Art Basel and building owners ‘giving’ their walls to internationally renowned artists – has developed into a worldwide unique open air street art extravaganza. The Wynwood Walls are a unique treasure, several hundreds becoming a well visited attraction (people walk, bike and drive around, an unusual – and welcome – sight in Miami). www.fashionartwalls.
ABOUT TOMAS LOEWY: Tomas Loewy was born in Prague, grew up in Buenos Aires, Munich, New York. Moving to Miami equaled vision, optimism, creativity.
