Debra Koch, director of Tiffany & Co. Bal Harbour, alongside the Florida Marlins Community Foundation hosted a book launch for Julie Loria, wife of Florida Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria.  Her book, titled “Diamond Dishes”, takes us behind the scenes into the homes of your favorite Major League Baseball players. Twenty of today’s top All-Stars reveal anecdotes about life beyond the diamond with stories told through memorable meals, family recipes and current guilty food pleasures.  Also included are never-before-seen full-color photos of the players off the field and in their kitchens along with more than 60 easy-to-make recipes.  All proceeds of the cookbook sold at the Tiffany & Co. event benefited the Florida Marlins Community Foundation and Common Threads.

Throughout the morning, guests were invited to participate in various exciting and fun perks, such as Tiffany & Co.’s “Try on your favorite piece,” in which the invitees perused the store and tried on beautiful jewelry for a chance to win a Blue Box. Several of the pieces throughout the store were secretly marked, allowing guests the opportunity to win a surprise raffle item in a Tiffany Blue Box.  Additional prizes included gift certificates to celebrity Chef Michelle Bernstein’s restaurant, Sr. Martinez, and Area 31 restaurant, currently under the direction of prominent chef E. Michael Reidt. While guests enjoyed the delicious mimosas, coffee and petit bouches created by Mena Catering, they were able to meet the beautiful author, Julie Loria, and have their cookbook signed with personal dedications by her.
