Formed in 1968, vocalists from two Philadelphia soul groups, The Monarchs and The Percussions, merged together to create the band that would later be known as “the Philly group with the sweet love songs.” The Stylistics launched into superstardom when they were signed by Avco Records and, soon after, were introduced to producer/songwriter Thom Bell. Their first self-titled album received staggering reviews and broke barriers by releasing an unprecedented six singles to the airwaves. Every single that Bell produced for the band was a Top 10 R&B hit and several were also Top 10 pop hits.

After great success with their spring 1974 single, “You Make Me Feel Brand New,” the band members decided to make drastic adjustments by hiring a new songwriter/producer, changing their overall sound and signing with a new record label. After four years will Bell, The Stylistics’ hired new producer/songwriter Van McCoy, who led the musicians on a path of softer tones. In 1976, they were transformed into international superstars when they signed a recording contract with H&L Records.

The Stylistics featuring Airrion Love, Herb Murrell, Eban Brown and Jason Sharp continue touring and performing their greatest hits for fans across the globe.
