South Florida interior designers, artists, philanthropists, community leaders and media united to support The Salvation Army of Broward County during the seventh annual Red Shield ReDesign Bash held on October 11 at The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale. Approximately $70,000 was raised to benefit the many shelter, feeding and case management programs at The Salvation Army of Broward County.
The celebrated evening, emceed by Jen Herrera from NBC 6’s “6 in the Mix,” showcased stylish restored, redesigned, rehabilitated furniture and home accessories that were transformed into one-of-a-kind art pieces by nearly 40 designers, DIY hobbyists and décor enthusiasts. Event attendees mixed and mingled, enjoyed creative food and cocktail stations and bid on their favorite repurposed treasures via a live auction. A variety of additional art, jewelry, luxury lifestyle packages and getaways were also offered during a silent auction and a cruise vacation from Royal Caribbean Cruise Line was raffled off to benefit the nonprofit organization.
