The Real HAVANA CLUB and Bacardi Limited Raise $25,000 With Special Theatre Performance of “The AMPARO™ Experience”

On Wednesday, October 16, The Real HAVANA CLUB’s “The AMPARO™ Experience,” hosted a special performance of its sold-out theatrical experience to help raise funds to aid in hurricane Dorian relief and recovery efforts. For this initiative, The Real HAVANA CLUB partnered with Mercy Corps in its ongoing disaster relief efforts to provide urgent assistance and aid to the Bahamas. The event raised $25,000, with all funds from this special rendition directly supporting Mercy Corps, a leading global organization that provides emergency relief, such as food, water, shelter, and other means, that aim to help communities rebuild and grow stronger after devastations.
Upon their arrival, guests delighted in a lively and energetic pre-show cocktail hour, where they mingled and sipped on exclusive, hand-crafted AMPARO™ cocktails that are expertly made by the finest cantineros. Moments before showtime, George Cabrera, Producer of “The AMPARO™ Experience,” welcomed all attendees and expressed his gratitude for their generous contributions and appreciation for their support of such an important cause.
After the performance, attendees were escorted to the AMPARO™ Rum Garden, where Mayor Francis Suarez, City of Miami Commissioner Manolo Reyes, and Attorney and former Commissioner of Coral Gables Frank Quesada, addressed the crowd regarding the devastation in The Bahamas and how they are honored to be able to work alongside The AMPARO Experience in their hurricane relief efforts. The evening’s festivities concluded with an after-party filled with carribbean-themed music, delicious bites provided by Sanguich de Miami and an array of cocktails made with The Real HAVANA CLUB.
Bacardi Limited, the company that produces The Real HAVANA CLUB rum, and the Bacardí family has generously donated $1 Million in cash to non-profit partners and the Bahamian government to provide immediate assistance to the island. The Bahamians welcomed Bacardi in the early 1960s when the company had to flee after the Cuban government illegally confiscated all assets in Cuba from Bacardi. With a strong relationship that has surpassed over 50 years, Bacardi is committed to seeing its neighbors and friends in the Bahamas find a prosperous future and their home rebuilt.
