The Latin Recording Academy® announced the artists who will be participating in the upcoming Latin GRAMMY® Sessions in Granada and Málaga.

The first Latin GRAMMY® Session will be an audiovisual piece in which flamenco, a hallmark of Andalucía’s identity, takes center stage, presenting a small portrait of the genre as it exists today. The production will include some traditional pieces that remain highly relevant, along with others that demonstrate flamenco’s strong influence on young artists who are forging their own musical paths. Filmed in Granada, in the incomparable setting of the Alhambra, a World Heritage Site, as well as the Hotel Alhambra Palace, the piece will feature spaces that stand out for their beauty, architecture and history, under the musical direction of Javier Limón, composer, producer, guitarist, teacher, writer and winner of several Latin GRAMMYs®.

Among the artists set to participate are previous Latin GRAMMY® nominee Carmen Linares, who will receive the 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award; Latin GRAMMY® winners Arcángel and Niña Pastori; as well as Lola Índigo, Alana Sinkëy and Omar Montes, who will be joined by dancer Belén López.

University of Granada professor and writer José Javier León Sillero will serve as project advisor. The production will be filmed over the coming days and will be made available worldwide beginning Nov. 10, 2023 on The Latin Academy’s digital platforms.

On October 13, 2023, The Latin Academy will offer another Latin GRAMMY® Session, this time celebrating the urban genre, at the Plaza de Toros de la Malagueta in Málaga. Among the artists confirmed to participate are Beret, a previous Latin GRAMMY® nominee; Feid, a multiple Latin GRAMMY nominee; and Mala Rodríguez, the first female Latin GRAMMY® winner in the Best Urban Song category.

The Latin GRAMMY Sessions are gatherings that offer unique and exceptional musical experiences. Granada and Málaga will kick off the calendar of events that The Latin Recording Academy® will hold in the Community of Andalucía over the next three years.
