12 MON 8:30pm:

The One and Only ORSON WELLES

Poolside at WET, located outdoors at W South Beach!

(part of the “Classic, Smooth & Sultry” MBC once-a-month Dive-In series

at the W South Beach)

(Directed by Orson Welles/1947/87mins.)

With Orson Welles, Rita Hayworth, Everett Sloane

Welles direction is no holds barred in this classic look at the rich and selfish caught in a noir web of obsession, betrayal, and murder. Rita Hayworth is the legendary Femme Fatale, as the gorgeous Elsa Bannister, who draws seaman Michael O’Hara (Welles) into a yachting cruise which ends up mired in a complex murder plot. It was made by Welles to rekindle his real-life marriage at the time to Hayworth, and the on-screen characters mirrored the complexities of that relationship.
