THE GALLERIA AT FORT LAUDERDALE LAUNCHES ITS “SALUTE TO HEALTHCARE HEROES” IN COLLABORATION WITH BROWARD HEALTH FOUNDATION

The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale, recognized as Broward County’s premier shopping destination, has partnered with Broward Health Foundation to launch its “Salute to Healthcare Heroes” in support of the local medical community. This fundraising initiative raises public awareness for the ongoing need to purchase vital medical protection gear and to support hospital employees who have been deeply impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale is proud to show its gratitude for the nearly 8,200 employees at Broward Health who have been caring for patients and offering support to those families impacted by COVID-19,” said Melissa Milroy, senior marketing manager for The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale.  “During these unprecedented times, we are glad to unite with our shoppers and show our appreciation for those caring for others.”

This effort is currently being shared with mall shoppers and the community via social media platforms, the mall’s website and interior mall advertising. Shoppers can support our local healthcare heroes via the Broward Health Foundation’s COVID-19 Fund or the Employee Assistance Program at www.BrowardHealthFoundation.org.

“We are appreciative of the support and platform that The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale has provided to extend our outreach for our caregivers during this global health crisis,” said Bill Diggs, president of Broward Health Foundation. “We owe a tremendous amount of gratitude to our physicians, nurses and hospital workers who continue to provide high quality care to all whom we serve.”
