As the University of Miami prepares to take on Florida State University in their annual football game, United Way of Miami-Dade has accepted a challenge from United Way of the Big Bend in Tallahassee to a different kind of football game, a tabletop flick football game. Local football fans will compete in a flick football tournament and the winner will play against the Tallahassee winner in the Flick Football Championship Match, on Nov. 2 at Doak Campbell Stadium, during pre-game festivities. The winner will also receive two tickets to the UM vs FSU game along with a two-night’s stay in Tallahassee the weekend of the big game (winner is responsible for own transportation).

The Championship Match will be projected onto the stadium’s giant TV screens for thousands of fans to watch, setting a Guinness World Book Record for the largest audience ever to witness a tabletop flick football game.

The local flick football tournament will benefit United Way of Miami-Dade’s work in education, health and financial stability.

To enter the tournament, participants must be 21 and older and pay $10 per person, which includes free draft beers.
