On Thursday, February 10, 2011, more than 300 people joined the American Cancer Society at the Indian Creek Country Club to honor twelve women for their commitment to philanthropy in our community. Over $100,000 was raised in the fight against cancer. The Inner Circle of Twelve distinction recognizes twelve outstanding women for their leadership, volunteerism, community involvement and dedication to the American Cancer Society’s mission.
The twelve honorees and philanthropic chair were honored as they walked down the runway immediately followed by a fashion show featuring celebrity designer Roberto De Villacis, who is dressing many of the young Hollywood stars and has dressed important celebrities such as Penelope Cruz and Carrie Underwood, will present his Spring 2011 Collection. Natalie Fernandez took the show as she sang while the models were strutting down the runway. This year’s Event Chairs were Remedios Diaz-Oliver, Sonia Gibson, Lilliam S. Machado, James Murphy, Dorothy St. Jean and Brenda Nestor Castellano.
