On Wednesday, April 21, Komen celebrated its annual grant ceremony at FIU’s Frost Art Museum.
Komen raised over $2 million this year through local events and the annual Race for the Cure®, of which 75% of the net dollars will stay in the community
to fund breast cancer screenings, education and treatment initiatives.
29 local breast cancer organizations, including WomanKind, Inc., benefited from nearly a million dollars in grants thanks to Susan G. Komen For the Cure® Miami/Ft. Lauderdale Affiliate.
