July 5 to July 30th

Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida in conjunction with the Vaganova Ballet Academy of Saint Petersburg Russia, proudly hosts the Summer Intensive Program of Russian Technique.

Very few times in South Florida a selected group of young aspiring dancers get the opportunity to have a month of intense training lead by the greatest teachers and stars of the legendary Marinsky Ballet (formerly Kirov). Along with students from around the country and abroad, Professional dancers also attend, to continue their search of ballet tradition and excellence in training, the Summer Intensive program offered by Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida in conjunction with the Vaganova Ballet Academy in Saint Petersburg, Russia.

The program will take place from July 5 to July 30th at the first class and state-of the-art studios of Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida in North Miami Beach. Female and male students from 10 to 18 years of age are accepted , previous audition,  to learn classical ballet, pointe, pas de deux  from the best faculty ever seen in Florida.

The program also includes instruction in Modern Dance, Character Dance, Pilates and Flamenco.

The four-week program will culminate with a performance on July 29th at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center, where there will be excerpts of the most famous classical ballets as well as a demonstration of Modern, Flamenco and Character Dances.

A limited number of scholarships are available thanks to the support of the Miami Dade Department of Cultural Affairs and the Miami Children’s Trust.
