“Straight Out of Line” Rockers Godsmack Bring the Hits to Hard Rock Live

“Straight Out of Line” hard rock/metal band Godsmack will bring the hits to Hard Rock Live at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Tuesday, September 28 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale Friday, August 6 at noon.

Godsmack, considered one of the most popular heavy metal acts of the last decade in the United States, has sold over 19 million records and counting, worldwide. The band has had three consecutive #1 albums (Faceless, IV, and The Oracle) on the Billboard 200 and 18 top ten rock radio hits, including 15 songs in the Top Five.
Formed in 1995, Godsmack’s first album, All Wound Up, was recorded over one weekend for just $2,600. A local DJ took note of the band propelling the singles “Keep Away” and “Whatever” into the collective consciousness of the Boston/New England area. In 1998, the band was signed to a major label with their debut re-mastered and a scheduled tour. Their strong showing landed them a spot on Ozzfest in 1999 and 2000, a European tour with Black Sabbath and an appearance at Woodstock 1999.

In 2000, Godsmack released their second album, Awake. This album’s title track dominated rock radio. The CD’s instrumental track, “Vampires,” earned the band its first Grammy nomination. In 2002, founding member Sully Erna scored the song “I Stand Alone” for The Scorpion King, the third installment in The Mummy saga. The song became the #1 single at Rock Radio and the most played Active Rock song in 2002 for 14 weeks straight.

Faceless was released in 2003 and became the #1 selling record in America during its bow. Faceless also brought two more Grammy nominations for “I Stand Alone” and an 11-month international arena tour with Metallica. The Other Side (2004), the band’s acoustic EP, included new versions of previous hits like “Keep Away,” “Re-Align” and a haunting new version of the Navy’s recruit song, “Awake.” Godsmack IV was released in 2006 and their latest album, The Oracle, featuring the single “Love-Hate-Sex-Pain,” hit the streets on May 4, 2010.
