In celebration of the Book Two premiere of the hit series “OUTLANDER” (airing Saturday, April 9), STARZ hosted a premiere event on Monday night at the American Museum of Natural History (AMNH).  Event guests, including hundreds of “Outlander” fans, cheered when series stars Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan and Tobias Menzies entered the LeFrak theatre.  After a welcome from Starz CEO Chris Albrecht, who officially announced the end of “draught-lander,” executive producer Ronald D. Moore introduced composer Bear McCreary and his wife and lead vocalist Raya Yarbrough who performed the main title theme song (‘Skye Boat Song’).  During his welcome to guests, Moore shared how the series got its start, “Someone has to say yes. And for this project the yes came from Chris Albrecht and Starz. I want to thank our friends and partners at Sony Pictures Television… TV is a team sport. This a collaborative medium and this is a collaborative celebration.”  Guests at the after-party were treated to an immersive reproduction of Versailles-era France, with roses and topiary trees brought in to transform the main gallery of the AMNH. But in true “Outlander” fashion, toasts to the cast and creative team involved Scotland’s signature single malt beverages.
