Called one of the best new comedies of 2009 by Time Magazine,  Starz Entertainment’s hilarious original comedy series, “Party Down, makes it second season debut on Friday, April 23 at 10 p.m. et/pt.   New to the ensemble cast is Emmy-winning actress Megan Mullally (“Will & Grace,” Fame), who joins Adam Scott (recently cast in “Parks and Recreation,” Indie Spirit Award Best Actor nominee for The Vicious Kind), Ken Marino, Lizzy Caplan, Martin Starr and Ryan Hansen in this half-hour program about a group of Los Angeles cater-waiters yearning for a shot at their dreams of stardom.

  • Ep. 201: “Auntie Christ Backstage Party”

NEW SERIES

“GRAVITY” – Series Premiere: Friday, April 23rd at 10:30pm ET/PT

Starz premieres its new dramatic comedy “Gravity,” which follows the sometimes comic, sometimes tragic exploits of a group from an eccentric out-patient program of suicide survivors. Krysten Ritter (“Breaking Bad,” Confessions of a Shopaholic), stars as Lily Champagne, a twenty-something who just can’t connect to anyone until she actually dies. She stars with Ivan Sergei (“Charmed,” The BreakUp), who plays Robert Collingsworth, who is despondent following the death of his wife, and who becomes an internet celebrity when his suicide attempt goes comically awry.  He stars with Eric Schaeffer, the series’ co-creator and one of its executive producers, who plays Miller, an enigmatic cop with mysterious intentions. Also in the cast are Ving Rhames (Pulp Fiction, Mission Impossible) as Dogg McFee, the group’s leader and a former Major League Baseball player, now confined to a wheelchair; and supermodel Rachel Hunter as Shawna Rollins, a former spokesmodel and current life coach who is surprised to find herself attracted to someone much younger than herself.  Robyn Cohen (The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou, “Starved”), James Martinez (Brother to Brother) and Seth Numrich (How to Kill a Mockingbird) round out the main cast.

  • Ep. 101: “Suicide Dummies”

Lily and Robert, two people who would probably never meet under normal circumstances, are thrown together in a support group for survivors of suicide attempts.  A loner, Lily had never known passion, but came to glimpse it “on the other side” when she momentarily flat-lined after poisoning herself.  Robert, inconsolable over the loss of his late wife, unsuccessfully tried to end it all and inadvertently ended up an instant celebrity in the process.  The other members of the support group, and an enigmatic cop named Miller, suddenly loom large in both Robert and Lily’s lives, which clearly have been forever changed.
