South Florida’s renowned chef Robyn Almodovar makes her highly anticipated return to Food Network this month, competing on the new series 24 in 24: Last Chef Standing premiering Sunday, April 26 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The show challenges chefs to complete 24 culinary tasks in 24 hours, testing speed, precision, and adaptability in a high-pressure, real-time format hosted by Michael Symon and Esther Choi. The competition features top-tier contenders, including Michelin-starred chefs and James Beard nominees, vying for a $100,000 prize.

This appearance comes as Almodovar prepares to debut her first restaurant, Against All Odds, later this summer in Miami’s Buena Vista neighborhood. A Staten Island native with Puerto Rican and Italian roots, Almodovar gained fame by winning Chopped and Cutthroat Kitchen and competing as a finalist on Hell’s Kitchen Season 10 and All-Stars.

Beyond television, Almodovar’s career spans across New York and South Florida kitchens, including launching Palate Party, Miami’s first female-owned non-dessert food truck, named Best Food Truck in Miami in 2013. She’s also held executive roles in Fort Lauderdale and served as corporate chef for The Stanley Hotel and The Palm Hotel & Resort.

“Cooking is about surviving,” Almodovar says. “Competition pushed me early in my career. Now it’s about showing how I’ve grown and where I’m headed next.”

Tune in April 26 to watch Robyn Almodovar showcase her resilience, talent, and culinary vision on Food Network’s “24 in 24.”
