We’ll discuss the philosophy and concepts related to growing your own food and the reasons for choosing organic, biodynamic or permaculture. You’ll learn how to get started (preparing and creating a healthy soil for a healthy harvest); why to compost (ingredients for making and maintaining a compost pile); what is appropriate for planting now (understanding Florida’s seasons and lessons on seed sources, selecting seeds, direct seeding and transplants).
